Review by hotel critic
Recently, I spent New Year's at Spat Hotel in Ashdod, and while there were some hiccups, I found this place quite charming. The location near the beach is fantastic, making it a great base for seaside adventures or exploring local attractions - I particularly loved the sunset views at Ashdod Beach. Breakfast was a letdown; it was only served in our room, not quite as depicted in the photos, and honestly, a communal dining experience would have been welcome after a long night of celebrations. On the bright side, the staff was absolutely standout-always smiling and accommodating, they even let us stay an extra hour! Just a heads up, the hotel doesn't have an elevator, which can make lugging suitcases up the stairs a chore for those with mobility issues. If you're looking for a cozy spot to relax after a day of exploration, Spat Hotel Ashdod feels like a hidden gem that just needs a slight tweak to reach its full potential.
